H1: Because Darden’s marketing approach for Olive Garden did not succeed in emphasizing the leverage points for the Olive Garden consumer, (Freshness/Quality), profits dropped.

When surveyed 90% of respondents replied that the freshness of their food is either Very important or extremely important. (44% very important, 46% extremely important)

This supports our hypothesis that freshness is a key attribute in the minds of our consumer.

Our findings show that Olive Garden needs to improve the freshness of their food in order to gain a higher market share.
