Students who attended residential
Students who did attend the residential should allude to their personal experience and how the residential supported their learning experience.
After forming into a residential team you produced a professional team audio visual presentation, you should compare and contrast your personal and team experiential learning against the theoretical frameworks of teamwork and presentation skills (your Meredith Belbin determinates must be used here) You must conduct secondary desk research into teamwork and presentation skills to support assertions.
Students who did not attend residential
Students who did not attend the residential may want to allude to your reasoning as to why you did not or were unable (some people contacted us with reasons many others did not) to attend. This will greatly help our understanding of how to shape the residential in the future.
You must conduct secondary desk research into teamwork and presentation skills and present your findings in the form of a 500 word essay (this will sit in the appendix) your Meredith Belbin determinates must be used here)
You must use the analysis and findings from this essay in this section and apply it to your past and current experiences.
Chapter three reports and Academic journal comparisons.
The writing at University slides week 5 WOLF will help you to understand how to approach this chapter. You should be able to apply the theory to practice here and demonstrate your understanding of how to write at University.
You have read critiqued and evaluated the “What works for Students” report. You will have also experienced a lot of the issues raised and some new ones.
You are now to read the academic journal article “Mind the Gap” written by one of the University of Wolverhampton School of education academics Maggie Lees It deals with many of the similar issues and key drivers raised in the “What works for students report”. I would like you to compare and contrast the findings of these two reports and apply them to your personal experience as a student at U.W.B.S.
