Using the information, insights and conclusions drawn from your assignment one analysis students must address the following questions in assignment two:
1. Critically analyse the strategic management of your target organisation. Students must use the concepts and analytical tools from the course to effect this analysis. Students must note that for our purposes ‘strategic management’ is defined as the efficient and effective application of the five stage ‘Strategy- Making-Strategy Execution Process’ on which this course is modelled.
2. Create a new vision and new set of strategic objectives for the target organisation going forward. The planning time frame will depend on the organisations current capabilities, the nature of the business and the external environmental context.
3. Identify and describe the most appropriate strategies for the target organisation if it is to achieve the strategic objectives you have identified. You must provide the detailed rational behind your strategic choices.
4.Using the ‘Ten Basic Tasks’ of the strategy execution process as the model, provide a detailed description of how you could best execute the strategies you have set in place in order to achieve the strategic objectives you have identified. The course material and your previous studies in the MBA program will provide an excellent foundation with which to tackle the complexity of strategy execution.
